Two Tamaqua businesses have been cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Cited were William Murphy Beer Distributor, 435-443 Pine St., and Padora's Six Pack House, 209 N. Railroad St.Both were cited for sales to a minor with the violations allegedly occurring on Dec. 27, 2013.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition the judge can imposed a license suspension or revocation.
