Lockdown ends at Liberty High School

The Bethlehem Police Department was on n-site at Liberty High School and the school was in lockdown this afternoon in response to a 911 call that reported a potential threat to the school, according to the school's website.

Students are safe and there are no injuries.Police were reportedly searching every room. After school activities and parent-teacher conferences were canceled.“This process may extend beyond the normal school dismissal time. When the situation is cleared, students will be dismissed,” the school posted on its website.Bus transportation will be provided at that time for students who normally ride the bus, the district said.Parents were asked to  stay clear of the school at this time to avoid traffic congestion and confusion as the police conducted their investigation.
