State police at Frackville are seeking the driver of a 2013 Dodge Dart sedan that crashed early today in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said the crash occurred along Upper Main Street, about a mile west of Route 54, in the borough of Gilberton. Troopers said the Dodge was driven westbound in the area of the border line between Gilberton and Mahanoy Township. As it traveled through a slight curve the Dodge left the road along the north berm and continued west where it sideswiped a utility pole with its right side.After impact the Dodge traveled in a northwest direction where it came to rest against a rock embankment. The driver then left the scene.The crash site was observed by a Shenandoah EMS vehicle about 1 a.m., which radioed the report to the county communications center.Troopers said the vehicle is registered to Michael Cadau, of Frackville. The Dodge sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.
