The Lehighton Fire Department last evening urged borough council to enforce a tougher policy and stiffer fines relevant to deliberate or negligent fires.

Speaking at the meeting of council last evening, Assistant Fire Chief Norman Schneck urged council to enforce a get-tough policy not only in reference to fire, but to those who follow the fire trucks and dangerous and hazardous conditions.
