Class of 1964

Members of the 1964 graduating class of Jim Thorpe High School will meet at noon Wednesday, April 16, at Mahoning Valley Country Club.Members of the reunion committee are asked to meet at 11 a.m. Members are reminded that reservations will be made for next month's meeting, which will be held at Penn's Peak. It will be lunch and a show, presented by Danny and the Juniors. Payment is due at this month's meeting. Those selected at last month's luncheon are reminded to bring their decorated holiday cakes and are to return the baking pans also.Holy Weekat St. John'sSt. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, has announced the following Holy Week services.Maundy Thursday, April 17, the worship service will begin at 7 p.m. with the stripping of the altar. The Rev. Thompson, pastor, will deliver the sermon.At 2 p.m. on Good Friday the service will be sung by members of the Bach and Handel Chorale, along with the dialogical readers of the church. This will work from the Passion according to St. Matthew 16:14-27:66.At 5 p.m. Saturday will be the Easter Vigil service. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Bruce Farra, who pastors a local house church and is executive international director of Forgotten Missionaries International.The Easter Sunday service will begin at 10:30 a.m.
