State police at Fern Ridge said a dog attack in Carbon County has led to charges being filed against the owner. Troopers said the incident occurred at 4:07 p.m. on Saturday in the area of 573 Patten Circle, Valley View Estates, in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said Charisse Williams, 56, of Albrightsville, was walking her pit bull dog on her property while Justin Miranda, 18, also of Albrightsville, was skateboarding on Patten Circle.The dog escaped from Williams and attacked Miranda, biting him on both arms and his back. Miranda was transported to the Lehighton hospital for treatment of his injuries.Troopers said Williams was cited with a dog law violation.
