State police at Fern Ridge reported that an Albrightsville teen received minor injuries after he lost control of his vehicle after swerving to avoid hitting a deer on Old Stage Road, one mile west of Route 534 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Police said Charles C. Trovato, 17, was traveling east when a deer entered the roadway from the westbound shoulder and ran in front of his car.Trovato lost control and struck a tree. The car continued to travel backward coming to a stop in the westbound lane.
