A Tamaqua man has been cited following an incident at the Family Dollar Store, 137 N. Railroad St., on Monday.

Police said Branden I. Rosario of 31 N. Railroad St., entered the store around 7:40 p.m. and attempted to steal a bag of candy, valued at $2.25. He was cited for retail theft.
