State police at Lehighton report on DUI arrests

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence arrests made by troopers.

On April 3 at 3:37 p.m. Amber Recker, 21, of Lehighton, was stopped along Long Mountain Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.She was transported to the barracks where she was found to be in possession of marijuana and $650 in cash. She was then taken to the Palmerton hospital for a blood test.Charges were filed, troopers said.Glenway Keiper, 45, of Kunkletown, was stopped along Weir Lake Road, at the intersection with Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, at 10:54 p.m. on April 3 for failing to stop for a red traffic light. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the county DUI center for a blood test.Troopers said charges are to be filed.Kory A. Christman, 35, of Palmerton, is facing charges after he was involved in a crash at 11:48 p.m. on April 4 along Wintergreen Road, south of Hill Road, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.Troopers said Christman lost control of his 1994 Toyota Corolla while traveling northbound. The car struck a tree along the right berm.Christman was injured and taken by Palmerton ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Troopers were assisted at the scene by volunteers from the Aquashicola Fire Company.Charges are pending, troopers added.
