Monroe driver facing DUI charge

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident on March 5.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said that at 1:29 a.m. they were dispatched to the area of Campstead Circle in Tobyhanna Township for a report of an intoxicated driver, who got his vehicle stuck partially off the road. On scene officers made contact with Prassanna Madramootoo, of Blakeslee.Officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Madramootoo. He was given and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The test showed a 0.29 BAC.Charges were filed.
