A Monroe County man has been charged with stealing multiple pieces of jewelry and then pawning them for cash.

State police at Fern Ridge allege that Michael Vincent Decaro, 22, of Stroudsburg, entered the residence of Arlene Bechtle, 79, of 502 Rainbow Terrace, Jackson Township, and took the jewelry. He then pawned the items. The jewelry was valued at $7,800.The incident occurred on Monday, April 7, between 12:30 and 6:15 p.m., troopers said. Decaro is facing theft and related charges.
