Three charged in Monroe incident

Three people have been charged with various counts, including assault, following an incident that occurred at 3:54 a.m. on March 16 at two locations, 1134 Trapper Lane and 8111 Coco Drive, both in Pocono Summit, Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were dispatched to the Trapper Lane address to a report of an out of control male covered in blood. On scene officers made contact with Samuel Acevedo, 41, of Pocono Summit.Acevedo initially was uncooperative with officers but eventually stated he was jumped at the Coco Drive residence. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of his injuries.Police then went to the Coco Drive residence. Through an investigation police learned that Acevedo arrived at that residence and pulled a knife attempting to go after John Ivanovsky, 41, of that address. He and another individual, identified as Ryan Fahey, 28, of Pocono Summit, struggled with Acevedo, eventually disarming him. After Acevedo was disarmed he was assaulted by the two men, police said.Acevedo received facial injuries as well as a back injury.Police said Acevedo was charged with terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. Fahey and Ivanovsky were both charged with recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
