April 7, 1965 Palmerton receives multiple firsts from Pete Perich, Dave Snyder and George Kutta as the Blue Bombers roll to a 67-28 Lehigh Valley League track win over Whitehall. Perich takes the 100 and broad jump while Snyder breaks the tape in the 220 and 440. Kutta captures the high jump and pole vault. The winners, coached by Don Holland, also gain firsts from Duane Costenbader (880) and Charlie Shupp (shot put) as well as the mile relay team.
