A Mahoning Township woman has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, a feloney.

Marissa Pekurny, 20, turned herself in on Wednesday at the Mahoning Police Station admitting she had stolen six firearms from her father.Pekurny stated she sold the firearms to fund her addiction to heroin.Five of the firearms were sold to firearm stores in Carbon and Monroe counties. The sixth was sold to a male on the street in Hazleton.A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 9.
