A New York state truck driver fell asleep at the wheel of his tractor trailer rig and crashed in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Ram B. Biswa, 29, of Syracuse, was operating a 2007 Freightliner tractor with trailer southbound just after 6 a.m. Wednesday on Intestate 81 in Kline Township when he left the highway onto the Tamaqua/McAdoo off ramp. He fell asleep with the rig overturning onto the driver's side coming to rest against a dirt/rock embankment.Biswa was not injured. The truck had to be towed. Troopers cited Biswa for careless driving.
