The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited a Carbon County business for violating the state liquor code.
Rausch Haus, 950 E. Delaware Ave., Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, was cited for possessing or operating gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, pool selling and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.In addition the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
