Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday opened bids for three demolition projects. They will review the bids, and award the work at a later date.

The properties to be demolished at are 911 Brock St., Ashland; 106, 108, 112 and 116 W. Main St., Girardville, and at 0 Cedar Alley in Frailey Township.Bidders for the Ashland project were: Affordable Construction and Demolition of Coal Township: $12,940; Madonna Enterprises of Port Carbon: $32,000; Patriots Construction Co. of Hazleton: $19,400; and Northeast Industrial Services of Shamokin: $28,890.Bidders for the Girardville project were: Farhat Excavating of Halifax, Dauphin County: $100,000; Affordable Construction and Demolition: $52,550; Madonna Enterprises: $86,600; Patriots Construction Co: $59,300; Reilly Mechanica of Minersville: $124,900; Dudash Pipeline Co. of Pottsville: $63,111; and Northeast Industrial Services: $104,500.Bidders for the Frailey Township job were: Maurer Excavating of Hegins: $12,800; SDL Construction of Orwigsburg: $17,000; Schlegal Excavating of Millmont, Union County: $37,170; Farhat Excavating: $45,000; Affordable Construction and Demolition: $7,500; Madonna Enterprises: $12,500; Patriots Construction Co: $14,660; Reilly Mechanical: $69,800; Dudash Pipeline Co.: $8,711; and Northeast Industrial Services: $32,890.
