Two people received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Rush Township on Wednesday.

Andrew T. Afflerbach, 19, of Slatington, was driving north on Claremont Avenue at 7:15 a.m. when he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Claremont Avenue and Tide Road. He struck a vehicle operated by Lois M. Mlynek, 54, of Barnesville, who was making a turn from Tide Road onto Claremont Avenue.Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.Charges against Afflerbach are pending.
