Supporters of a third-grade teacher in the Lehighton Area School District, criticized last week at a public meeting, were not given equal time for rebuttal at a meeting last night.

A special meeting of the Lehighton Area School Board was held and board President Giselle Mathias admitted one reason had been to discuss "a personnel matter."In addition, the board acknowledged receiving four letters regarding the third-grade teacher. Plus, three people placed their names on the "courtesy to the floor" list wanting to address the board on the matter.
