Tamaqua rallied in its final atbat for a softball victory on Thursday.

SOFTBALLLehighton-TamaquaTamaqua pushed across two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out an 8-7 non-league win over Lehighton in both team's season opener.Alexis Boyer led off the seventh with a single and stole second. Taylor Fritz followed with an RBI single to score Boyer. Fritz scored the winning run when Brianna Wittig doubled and the Indians committed a error on the play.Fritz had two hits and knocked in three runs for the winners while Boyer contributed three hits.For Lehighton, Kelsey Andrews had three hits and knocked in a pair of runs.
