A driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, along Route 61 in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Ronald E. Gubala, 26, of Ringtown, operating a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, was in the left lane southbound and failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road. His car crossed into the northbound lane and into the path of a 2013 Nissan Murano operated by Thomas J. Kerns, 58, of Saint Clair. The two vehicles collided in the northbound lane.No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Troopers cited Gubala in the incident.
