A Monroe County man is facing assault and other counts following a domestic incident that occurred about 11:39 p.m. on March 14.
Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 7655 Rainbow Drive in Tobyhanna, to a reported physical domestic incident. On scene officers were told by a male outside the home that his daughter's boyfriend, later identified as Jesus Martinez, 21, of Tobyhanna, had assaulted her and was "destroying the house."Officers entered the home and found Martinez. An investigation revealed Martinez had struck his girlfriend in the face causing an injury to her eye. He also threatened to bring his family from New York and kill everyone inside the home.Martinez was placed under arrest and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
