A Luzerne County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 11:04 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Harvest Lane and Summit Avenue, in Coolbaugh Township, for a report of a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.Officers arrived on scene along with a medical unit. The vehicle's engine was running and it was in gear.Officers awoke the driver who was identified as Stephen W. Stanick, 43, of Ashley. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the county DUI center for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, police said.
