Community Lenten service at St. Paul'sA Community Lenten service will be held at 7 o'clock this evening at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill. A soup supper will be offered before the service at 6:15. All are welcome.In case of inclement weather, call 570-273-4038 to confirm that service will be held.Worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 30 with Sunday school classes beginning at 9 a.m. Visitors are always welcome.The Sunday school class will be doing a short, simple Easter skit on Easter Sunday during the worship service. It will involve memorizing a simple line or two for each child.Parts will be distributed and practice will begin on March 30 at the end of the regular lesson. Please note that classes may run until 10:15 a.m.The annual Easter egg hunt will be held on Easter morning during the regular class time. Donations of small, wrapped candy or treats that fit inside the eggs are appreciated and needed. Donations of light snacks and drinks are also welcome.NesquehoningConservation ClubThe next meeting of the Nesquehoning Conservation Club will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 2 at Maple Shade Meadows. Plans for the upcoming fishing derby will be discussed.Members who are interested in helping sell raffle tickets for the hand carved trout at Redner's Market on April 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. are asked to please contact one of the officers.Nesquehoning Woman's ClubThe monthly meeting of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 7 in the Zion Lutheran Church with Carol Zickler, president, presiding.Nomination of new officers will be taken and there will be entertainment by Kokinda's Australian Shepherds.NCFC Ladies Auxiliary meetingThe next meeting of the New Columbus Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1. President Gerry McConnon will preside.The hospitality committee will consist of the board.
