A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for a violation of the liquor code.
JTAMS Inc., 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, was cited for used, or permitted to be used on the inside of the licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard beyond the licensee's property line. The alleged violation occurred on Feb. 7.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
