A stop at a police checkpoint led to the arrest of a wanted person.

State police at Frackville said the checkpoint was set up along Route 54 near the St. Nicholas cogeneration plant in Mahanoy Township on Tuesday March 11.About 12:45 p.m. Jennifer Wentworth, 28, of Shenandoah, entered the checkpoint. A records check with NCIC revealed that she was driving while her license was under suspension. Also, the check revealed she was wanted on a bench warrant issued to the Schuylkill County Sheriff's Department.She was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Pottsville on the outstanding warrant, troopers said.
