A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence after her vehicle struck a Kidder Township police cruiser.

State police at Fern Ridge said about 3:35 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, troopers were dispatched to the parking lot of Shenanigans Pub, Lake Harmony, Kidder Township, at the request of township police to investigate a crash.On scene troopers were notified by township police officer David Mason that he was involved in a crash in the parking lot of the pub. Mason told Trooper Daniel R. Nilon that he was providing two pedestrians information on how to obtain a taxi when a vehicle struck his marked patrol unit.The driver of the striking vehicle was identified as Carmen Louise Chiclana, 52, of Saylorsburg. She was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which confirmed she was under the influence, troopers said.Charges are pending, troopers added.
