A Hazleton man has been cited for public drunkenness by McAdoo police following an incident on March 2.
Officer William Curilla was on patrol when he observed a male staggering along Blaine Street, near the intersection with Butler Street. The officer stopped to offer assistance and detected a strong odor of alcohol, glassy eyes and slurred speech. The man said his name was Delvey Duran, of 676 Hayes St., Hazleton, although it took him three tries to spell his own first name correctly.Duran told the officer he was looking for Washington Street. He was cited and transported to Washington Street.
