A Monroe County woman is facing simple assault charges following an incident that occurred at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 7, at 202 Stausser Lane in Jackson Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Diane Cheryl Burks Lindstedt, 50, of Stroudsburg, allegedly assaulted a 60-year-old female and a 53-year-old male, following a verbal altercation at the time and date stated.She was arrested and transported to the county prison in Snydersville, troopers said.
