A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred about 11 a.m. on Friday, March 7.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a trooper was parked along Route 61 southbound at Liberty Street in North Manheim Township, when a motorist stopped to tell him of an erratic driver.The trooper observed the vehicle in question, a 1997 black Jeep Cherokee, and followed it noting the driver committing several moving violations. A traffic stop was made.The driver was identified as Matthew Lee Osenbach, 28, of New Ringgold. He showed signs of intoxication and admitted having consumed several drinks of alcohol.He was placed under arrest and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson Street in Pottsville, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
