March 10, 1984 Northern Lehigh's Larry Rehrig and Greg Parsons both capture gold medals at the Southeast Regional Class AA wrestling championships. Rehrig earns his title at 115 pounds by gaining an 11-3 major decision over Troy Handlovic of Wilson. Parsons, at 158, rallies from an early 4-0 to score a 7-6 decision win over Jeff Satterwhite of Pottstown. Three wrestlers from the TIMES NEWS area finish with silver medals. They include Northwestern's Tim Kelchner and Jason Grantham, and Palmerton's Jeff Bartholomew.
