A Monroe County teen is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at 9125 Penn Terrace, in Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Shaheem Mitchell, 18, of Tobyhanna, and a 17-year-old male allegedly assaulted another 17-year-old male in front of the address stated.Police said the victim was struck several times in the face and head area by Mitchell, causing a minor injury. The incident started over money that was owed to Mitchell by the victim, police said.Mitchell was charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct, police added.
