One of two drivers involved in a crash that occurred about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at the intersection of Forest Inn Road and Route 209, in Towamensing Township, was cited.

State police at Lehighton said Nicholas A. Masington, 48, of Lehighton, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche southbound on Forest Inn Road after turning from 209.Troopers said Masington failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a 2003 Hyundai Elantra driven by Ryan A. Snyder, 23, of Palmerton, who was northbound on Forest Inn Road and attempting to turn into the turning lane south 209.No one was injured. Damages were minor to the Avalanche and disabling to the Elantra.Troopers cited Masington for stop signs and yield signs. Troopers were assisted at the scene by Towamensing Township fire police volunteers.
