A Monroe County man was jailed on Sunday, March 2.

State police at Fern Ridge said Samuel Robert Gaston, 23, of Effort, was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly punching Ruth Williams, 68, of East Stroudsburg, a psychiatric aide, in the head. The assault occurred at the Northwest Human Services facility in Chestnuthill Township.Gaston was placed in the county prison in Snydersville.
