Rolling Stones tribute at the M.C. Opera House

It's 1973 all over again. The Rolling Stones had just released Sticky Fingers, and anyone who loved rock 'n' roll was blown away by it. It was a time when Mick Jagger and Keith Richards seemed to rule the music world.

You're not in a time warp; you are watching and listening to the Glimmer Twins, an eight-piece Rolling Stones tribute band, at the Mauch Chunk Opera House Saturday, March 1, in Jim Thorpe.Experience a youthful, energetic Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in their Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street prime, raw and unfettered.Every detail, from the period correct clothing to the spot-on sound of vintage amplifiers and guitars, is accounted for. But most of all, they know how to perform the classic guitar and vocal riffs that made the Stones songbook so instantly recognizable.Vocalist Valorie Steel as she rips through the haunting chorus of Gimme Shelter, while saxophonist Bobby Michaels launches into the classic sax riffs on Can't You Hear Me Knockin'.The Glimmer Twins re-create all of The Rolling Stones hits in all their glory. Greats like Jumpin' Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Brown Sugar, Bitch, Happy, and Tumbling Dice compliment stalwart classics like Satisfaction, Under My Thumb, Sympathy For the Devil, Some Girls, and Start Me Up.
