Three persons were injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 1:33 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, along Route 443 in New Ringgold, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Manuel L. Cires, 19, of Hicksville, N.Y., was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche southbound when he crossed the double yellow line and struck a snow covered rock embankment on the left side. On impact the vehicle deflected back onto the road and came to rest facing north partially in the northbound lane.Three passengers Lissette Cires, 43, of Tamaqua, Lissette B. Cires, no age given, of Reading, and Cindy Pena, 17, of Tamaqua, were all injured and taken to the West Reading hospital by New Ringgold ambulance.The driver and passenger Alizah Robles, no age given, of Reading, were not injured. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.New Ringgold Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.Troopers said Cires was cited for two motor vehicle code violations.
