One crash leads to another

A Monroe County driver was involved in two crashes at the same location, both due to a slippery road. State police at Fern Ridge said the accidents occurred along Bartonsville Woods Road in Jackson Township.

Troopers said Amy L. Lasker, 21, of Effort, was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla westbound about 10:28 p.m. Feb. 22, when she lost control. The car slid sideways and came to rest facing north on the road. She was not injured.Troopers said moments later David J. Snee, 56, of Effort, was driving a 2007 Ford F150 pickup truck westbound and came upon Lasker's disabled vehicle. He lost control on the slippery road and struck the rear passenger door on the Corolla with his truck.Lasker sustained a minor injury in the crash and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by Central Pocono ambulance. Snee was not injured.
