State police at Fern Ridge investigating several crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roads.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 4:28 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the intersection of Route 115 and Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township.Troopers said Andrew D. Kerns, 21, of Kresgeville, driving a 2008 Honda Civic, failed to stop for a red traffic light and attempted to turn left from Jonas Road onto 115 and pulled into the path of a southbound 2001 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Romualo Krysiak, 61, of Albrightsville.Kerns, Krysiak, and his passengers Aneth Krysiak, 32, and Beata M. Krysiak, 55, both of Albrightsville, were all not injured. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages to the front ends.Troopers cited Kerns for the red light violation.A crash was reported at 9:12 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the intersection of Gilbert Road and Route 209, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Lisa Villano, of Saylorsburg, was driving a Honda southbound on Gilbert Road while Carlos Gilbero, 23, of Kunkletown, was westbound on Route 209 and approaching the intersection.Villano applied her brakes to stop, but her vehicle slid on the icy road and struck Gilbero's Chrysler PT Cruiser in the intersection.No one was injured.A crash occurred about 10:35 a.m. Wednesday along Gilbert Road near Altemose Drive. Troopers said Robert Ting, 42, of Syosset, N.Y., was stopped in a 2006 Honda southbound with John Hilliard, 39, of East Stroudsburg, driving a Dodge Ram 5500 tow truck, was also stopped southbound.Charles Ecar, 56, of Saylorsburg, driving a GMC Yukon, was southbound and lost control on the icy road with his vehicle colliding into the tow truck and then hit the Honda.No one was injured.
