The Tamaqua Elementary Parent Teacher Organization's annual Spring Book Fair will be held from Feb. 24 through Feb. 28 at the Tamaqua Elementary School on Boyle Avenue. Family night is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25.In case of snow, family night will be held from 6 to 7:30 Wednesday.Available books will be on display in the school libraryThe public is welcome to attend.For more information, call 570-952-8282.Safe web surfingThe Tamaqua Safety Initiative and Live the Green Dot Tamaqua will sponsor a presentation on social networking and Internet safety on March 6.The mini seminar will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Tamaqua Community Art Center, 125 Pine St.The program will be presented by Janene Holter of the state attorney general's office. It is designed to educate while stressing the importance of keeping children safe when they are online. The clinic will run for six weeks and two sessions are being offered children between the ages of 3 and 5 and for ages 6 to 8. Michael Frost will officiate at the 9 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion's Stone Church in West Penn Township.
