Greetings!

I'm writing this letter to thank all the people involved in running our Comm Center, 911 Emergency in Carbon County, in the borough of Nesquehoning.I think that we all take the thought of just calling 911 for granted, because we know that there will always be someone there to take our call and send help.Could you imagine a world without this? It's our security and our privelege to have this available to us. In all the years I've been a resident of Carbon County, I've had to call 911 for some real emergencies and as long as I've lived here, I've never been denied help; I always had my call answered with respect and dignity, and I've always been sent personal and proper help for my situation.These people are there 24/7 and only have a short time to gather information on the nature of our calls; they send help out within seconds, and this is actually one thing we need to be thankful for.The people working there sometimes can't even understand us when we're upset; yet, to this very day, not once have I had no reply. Never did one call I've made go unanswered or responded to and I feel I need to thank everyone who is a part of this personally because this is pure excellence and dedication they show every hour of every day.I'm not sure what life would be like without a 911 Call Center. I don't want to think about the disaster that would be. For all the ambulances, firemen, policemen, and help you've sent to me and mine over the last many years, "thank you."You deserve a raise.SincerelyJanie L. BamfordNesquehoning
