Two persons were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred outside Tamaqua in Walker Township on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
State police at Frackville said Anthony R. Hill, 19, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra northbound on Wildcat Road about 5 p.m. when the vehicle left the road on the east side and traveled about 72 feet before striking a tree along the berm with the passenger's side front bumper.Hill and his passenger, a 16-year-old female from Tamaqua, were injured and taken to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, by New Ringgold ambulance. Troopers were assisted at the scene by volunteers from Tamaqua fire companies.Hill was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic, troopers added.
