McAdoo Police have cited a Bath man in connection with a Dec. 21, 2013 traffic stop.

An officer on patrol at 12:20 a.m. observed two vehicles traveling south on Kennedy Drive. The second vehicle, a black Nissan, appeared to be tailgating the first. As the officer got closer, he estimated there was less than one car length between the two vehicles and conducted a traffic stop.The driver of the Nissan was identified as Jeremy Ruiz of Bath. Ruiz said he was following so closely because the other drive had "jammed on his brakes earlier."A strong odor of marijuana emanated from the car and Ruiz admitted to smoking marijuana about an hour earlier. He was given and failed several field sobriety tests.Ruiz was cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
