Two crashes reported

A Tamaqua driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5. It was one of two crashes reported by state police at Frackville occurring on Wednesday.

Troopers said Sinan Arabaci, 37, was driving a 2004 Mercury Sable northeast on SR895 in West Brunswick Township and negotiating a slight left curve.He lost control of the car which began to fishtail. The car crossed into the oncoming lane and onto the berm where it collided into a tree.The second crash occurred about 9:25 a.m. along Interstate 81 in Delano Township. Troopers said Tarell T. Williams, 34, of Brooklyn, N.Y., driving a 2006 International Harvester truck, was northbound and passed a 1998 Kia driven by Christina L. Card, 34, of Mahanoy City.Williams lost control of the truck and struck the guide rail on the east berm. It then jackknifed across both lanes of travel where the rear section was struck by Card's vehicle.Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, by Ryan Township ambulance.Troopers cited Williams for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
