A Schuylkill County driver sustained a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:56 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, along Cressona Road, in North Manheim Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Correen I. Bruen, 26, of Cressona, was driving a 2000 Dodge Stratus southbound when she drove through a patch of ice/slush.Bruen lost control of the car which slid across both lanes and struck a utility pole along the berm where it came to rest.Bruen sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. A 6-year-old male passenger was not injured.Damages were termed heavy to the front end of the car, which had to be towed.
