Special Olympics Pennsylvania Carbon County is starting track and field trainings Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Jim Thorpe Area High School Gymnasium.

The group is looking for volunteers to help athletes prepare for a successful season. There are several events and areas in which volunteers can help. No prior track and field experience is necessary.Volunteers are asked to arrive at noon and wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. This first training session is for anyone interested in joining this season as a coach or volunteer. No athletes will be present this week of training.
