A traffic stop in Monroe County led to a wanted person being apprehended.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they stopped a vehicle about 11:44 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, along SR940 at Meadow Lane, for an equipment violation.The driver was identified as Shaun Williams, 29, of White Haven, and his passenger was Steven J. Young Jr., 38, of Coatesville, Chester County.A check determined that Young was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear issued out of Chester County.He was arrested and placed in the county prison in Snydersville. Williams was issued a citation for the equipment violation and released.
