Several defendants in criminal cases had their parole/probation revoked by county judges for violation the terms of their release.

The revocations were the result of petitions filed by the adult probation office against the defendants.Those who had their parole/probations revoked included:Timothy O'Brien, 25, of Coaldale, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia for failing to report to the probation office as directed, relocated without permission his probation officer, is delinquent on paying court costs, and failed to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation as required.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced O'Brien to serve three to six months in the county jail effective Jan. 9.Stacy Behler, 28, of Palmerton, had her probation revoked on a charge of receiving stolen property because she attempted to submit a altered urine screen on Oct. 4, 2013.Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced her to serve six to 12 months in the county prison effective Oct. 4, 2013.Steven Keach, 21, of Lehighton, had his probation revoked on charges of terroristic threats and simple assault on petition filed by McGinley.He was resentenced by Nanovic to serve three to six months on each count, with the terms running consecutively. He received credit for 430 days already spent in jail on the charges and was paroled.Kory Sponheimer, 26, of Nesquehoning, had his parole revoked on a charge of criminal use of a communication facility for testing positive for a controlled substance which violated zero tolerance provision.Nanovic resentenced him to serve the balance of his maximum sentence which runs to April 29.Joshua Plocinik, 25, of Lehighton, had his probation revoked on a charge of possession of an instrument of crime for testing positive for a controlled substance, failing to submit to scheduled drug screens, failing to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow recommendations, and failing to complete 50 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve 45 to 90 days in the county prison, and must serve the entire sentence with a release date of March 31.
