No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 1:55 p.m. Jan. 25 on Route 534 in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said the mishap occurred about one-half mile north of Middle Creek Road when a 2000 Mercury Sable operated by Amanda A. Hoag, 17, of Effort, traveling south, approached the crossroad, skidded out of control into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Andrew K. Harvey, 48, of Albrightsville. The latter was northbound at the time.Police said snow and slush covered the roadway at the time of the crash. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
