January 30, 1945 Dubby Derby leads Lansford to a convincing 59-38 Black Diamond League victory over Shenandoah. Derby drops in nine field goals and adds seven free throws to finish thecontest with a game-high 25 points. The Panthers, coached by Tony Denby, race to a 13-point halftime advantage and lead the rest of the way. Forgay contributes 13 points to the winning effort while George Sniscak adds eight. Andy Lukac and Ed "Koocher" Boyle each chip in with four.
