State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 9:38 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, along Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Justin Alirkan, 19, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2004 Ford Focus southbound and attempting to negotiate a right curve and was going too fast causing him to lose control.The car flipped onto its side after striking a tree along the berm, coming to rest in the northbound lane facing south on its driver's side.Alirkan was not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed, troopers said.
